ENTRY NUMBER 19: THERE IS NO ACCIDENT IN THIS WORLD
I'm a fan of National Geographic documentary series "Seconds from disaster"
Every episode has this introduction that always caught my attention
It says that
"Accidents don't just happen, and they are a chain of events that led one thing to another"
Well what is accident by the way???
What does it mean???
Out of curiosity, Nagtingin ako ng meaning sa our ever powerful
INTERNET
And the definition is very easy to find.....
Ang sabi ni WIKIPEDIA,
An accident or mishap is an unforeseen and unplanned event or circumstance, often with lack of intention or necessity. It implies a generally negative outcome which may have been avoided or prevented had circumstances leading up to the accident been recognized, and acted upon, prior to its occurrence.
Kung inyong susumahin, lumalabas po na ang salitang ACCIDENT ay
hindi maganda o hindi naangkop sa karamihan
"We always thought that accidents is a "NEGATIVE THING"
Well actually it's not
Do you know that some of the World's greatest inventions are created by accidents???
Let me give you these examples (courtesy of HowStuffWorks)
MICROWAVE OVEN
Percy Spencer was experimenting with a new vacuum tube called a magnetron while doing research for the Raytheon Corporation. He was intrigued when the candy bar in his pocket began to melt, so he tried another experiment with popcorn. When it began to pop, Spencer immediately saw the potential in this revolutionary process. Thus the microwave is born
POST-IT-NOTES
The idea for the Post-it note was conceived in 1974 by Arthur Fry as a way of holding bookmarks in his hymnal while singing in the church choir. He was aware of an adhesive accidentally developed in 1968 by fellow 3M employee Spencer Silver. No application for the lightly sticky stuff was apparent until Fry's idea. The 3M company was initially skeptical about the product's profitability, but in 1980, the product was introduced around the world. Today, Post-it notes are sold in more than 100 countries.
POTATO CHIPS
If you can't eat just one potato chip, blame it on chef George Crum. He reportedly created the salty snack in 1853 at Moon's Lake House near Saratoga Springs, New York. Fed up with a customer who continuously sent his fried potatoes back, complaining that they were soggy and not crunchy enough, Crum sliced the potatoes as thin as possible, fried them in hot grease, then doused them with salt. The customer loved them and "Saratoga Chips" quickly became a popular item at the lodge and throughout New England.
The list goes on...................
In the world of business, accidents also happen
I myself accidentally saw one of my friends videos that changed my LIFE FOREVER
FOR ME, Accidents give us an important learning
"Accidents gives us lessons"
"Accidents gives us new OUT OF THIS WORLD Opportunities"
Accidents will make you think outside the box"
"Accidents will spur us into to do something, and TO ACT!"
Do you get my point??? =)
Mga kaibigan, everthing happens for a reason
Isipin mo na lng kung ang buhay alang aksidente
THAT WOULD BE VERY BORING
WHY???
And another thing about these inventions
Do you think they made a lot of fortune OUT of this???
Well the answer is obvious
Don't you think???
All
BECAUSE
OF
THE
WORD
"ACCIDENT"
GUYS....
DON'T TREAT THE ACCIDENT AS IT IS, IT IS ALSO SAYING SOMETHING TO US
LEARN FROM IT
MARAHIL, Aksidente mo lang nabasa ito habanh nag FFB ka or twitter
There's a purpose for it
SEEK IT, AND YOU SHALL FIND
Till my Next POST
HAPPY WEEK END EVERYONE
